Juvenile Spotted Drum in Bonaire, Netherland Antilles
This Spotted Drum fish (about 4 inches long) was found in Bonaire, Netherland Antilles. Bonaire is part of the ABC islands along with Aruba and Curacao. In their early stages, spotted drum have very long head fins and tail fins that wave in the current as they swim. In the adult stage the body looks more like a black and white striped or spotted fish, but a long fin on top. This spotted drum is an older juvenile.
