On Broadway

If you've ever visited Alcatraz then you're familiar with the area referred to as "Broadway". The central walkway in the cellblock between B and C blocks, toward "Times Square", which is under the clock at the entrance to the cafeteria. New prisoners were marched down Broadway when they first arrived, to the taunts of the other prisoners looking out of their cells.

"The Hole" - Solitary - Alcatraz style

Stepping into one of these cells will send chills down your spine. It's hard to fathom what it must have been like to be locked up in "The Hole" which is a light and sound proof cell. Purple haze
